Procurement Analyst

Within FullBloom, the Procurement function plays a key role in supporting all divisions and programs of the company by sourcing and managing both products (e.g., educational materials, school and center furniture) and services that enable educational and medical service delivery. The Procurement analysts supports procurement activities and has the opportunity to shape the company’s procurement efforts and savings realization.

 

Responsibilities/Core Functions include (but are not limited to) the following:

The Procurement Analyst will collaborate with another Procurement Analyst to support the identification and selection of new preferred vendors, manage existing vendors and procurement activities, and implement cost and process improvement opportunities. The Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders, as well as with company vendors and service providers. Specific responsibilities will be split between the two analysts to ensure clarity of ownership.

 

  1. Support corporate procurement efforts
    • Conduct analysis to identify opportunities for procurement-related savings
    • Manage the process of contracting with preferred vendors for specific spend categories, including identifying potential vendors, managing proposal process, conducting comparison of proposals, and participating in vendor negotiations
    • Manage preferred vendors on day-to-day basis, including supporting internal Catapult users, negotiating pricing, and ensuring overall service levels
    • Help to ensure identified procurement savings are captured
    • Identify potential process improvement opportunities and roll them out
  2. Provide day to day support for colleague procurement needs
    • Help manage HMBS inbox and user requests and set ups
    • Problem solve specific issues related to preferred vendor buying as they arise
  3. Support materials needs for the Missouri Summer Journey program
    • Co-manage 1,400 item bill of materials, including consolidation, sourcing and updates
    • Conduct some purchasing of summer journey materials, and maintenance of a detailed data base of purchases such that there is visibility into cost of materials, cost of specific kits, and costs associated with different departments
    • Manage some procurement and kitting vendors
    • Conduct some materials analysis
  4. Manage internal and external stakeholders
    • Build strong relationships with key staff in vendor and service provider companies and manage those organization as they deliver support to FullBloom
    • Plan and implement procurement-related internal communications

 

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or higher
  • At least 3 years experience in procurement or in another highly analytical role involving negotiation and/or management of many stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and especially Excel
  • Detail oriented and highly organized; strong project management skills
  • Analytical and possess strong quantitative skills
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Able to work independently and maintain composure under pressure
  • Flexible, resourceful, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
