We have a private school in Tampa (33617 zip code) in need of a full-time International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year. This position is in a face-to-face environment, and carries out effective leadership and administrative functions of the IBDP Program. The ideal candidate will effectively work with leadership to support the educational development of students and staff and promote parent and community awareness of the program.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates with Dean of Students and the Director of Teaching and Learning.
  • Records all communication, forms, documents, and reports from the IBDP; records and distributes all IBDP publications, where necessary.
  • Contributes to the promotion and development of the IBDP, both within and outside the school.
  • Regularly updates faculty and administration on IBDP matters and publications.
  • Attends conferences, workshops, and regional meetings.
  • Ensures appropriate textbooks and resources are made available.
  • Organizes and moderates internal assessments according to the Diploma criteria.
  • Participates with school leadership on curriculum and assessment within school and the IBDP.
  • Sets and monitors goals to improve IB student retention rates and IB exam results.
  • Manages the IB Diploma Program budget.
  • Remain current in knowledge of IB instructional and programmatic developments and current educational practices.
  • Recruits new students to the program through information sessions and marketing materials.
  • Manages all aspects of the Diploma Program Entry.
  • Ensure and advise students and parents with regard to the program.


  • Master’s Degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of five years of relevant IB leadership and teaching experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with academy board members.
  • Experience in implementing the principles and current trends in education, curriculum, IB programs, staff development, essential elements of instruction, and supervision.
