Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will be a significant financial resource to the field operations group.  The Analyst will work closely with field operators to evaluate monthly financial results and to analyze variances to budget and forecasts as well as be responsible for forecasting new trends.  This position will be involved in the identification of cost efficiencies and related improvements while proactively reviewing and developing new forecasting and budgeting methodologies.  This is currently a remote location position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the operations team to implement strategies and initiatives to drive growth and improve margins.  Conduct monthly calls with operations leadership to communicate financial implications of current results and how they affect the run rate in future periods.  Promote financial literacy with operations team through training sessions.
  • Prepare the analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results and key performance indicators against Budget, Forecast and other internal benchmarks.  Identify and explain variances and trends in the business and communicate this information to the operations team on a timely basis.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial forecasts in partnership with the operations team, including the identification of risks and opportunities.  Provide consultative input and business analysis to support operating planning and forecasting.
  • Partner with the accounting function to ensure the accuracy of the monthly financial close.
  • Prepare and review Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts.
  • Maintains consistent financial operating policies and procedures, drives the identification of best practices.
  • Preparation of special purpose or ad hoc analyses as required.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Three (3) to six (6) years of financial analysis experience with a focus on operational improvement, analytical and modeling skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience with Adaptive Insights, NetSuite and/or PowerBI preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent Excel/Word skills, ability to work independently; thrive in fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities.
