Summer School Teachers
Description
Join Catapult Learning in partnership with Philadelphia non-public schools to teach in our Summer Journey program! You will ensure high level of student engagement and success using our proprietary STEM, Math, Reading, and Life Skills programs.
Catapult provides all resources and instructional materials as well as paid training.
Summer Journey is for students in grades K-7 in the Philadelphia non-public schools. Programs will be in-person, July 8 - August 1, 7:30am - 12:00pm, Monday-Thursday.
Teachers must be available for the entire program and must attend a mandatory virtual training during the last week of June.
Responsibilities:
- Attend all training sessions and deliver programs in STEM, math, reading, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of Company materials and educational strategies.
- Deliver engaging and exciting lessons as outlined in supplied curriculum.
- Complete and maintain teacher and student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Ensure a safe, enthusiastic, and positive environment for all students.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experienced teachers only.
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- PA Teaching Certificate as required by contract for all non-AOP or non-IMS teachers
- Updated PA clearances (child abuse, criminal background, fingerprinting, physical, TB etc.).
- Access to computer or laptop with video conference capabilities (webcam/microphone) and a strong WiFi connection.
- Must be available to work the length of the assigned program.
