High School Resource Room Teacher

We are seeking full Resource Support Teachers to provide services for students with learning differences in a Philadelphia non-public high schools. You may use instructional formats such as, push in, pull out small group instruction, co-teaching and individual support to promote student achievement. Resource support teachers support students in reading, writing, math, or STEM.   

How you’ll be there for students:  
Be their advocate, difference maker, and mentor.  
  
  • Diagnose learning skill deficits (as identified from educational testing and/or IEPs), plan relevant instruction to support students to overcome these deficits in a positive learning environment. 
  • Consult with school personnel to coordinate schedules and appropriate time with students. 
  • Communicate with students and their families about academic progress. 
  • Identify the most appropriate material to meet your student's goals and your instructional objectives. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we’ll need from you:  
The positive, enthusiastic teacher we seek has these qualifications.  
  • A degree in Special Education (Master's preferred) 
  • A valid PA teaching certificate (Special Education) preferred
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience (High School preferred)
  • Must have all state mandated clearances (Child Abuse, Criminal background checks, Act 126 Certificate, FBI fingerprints, etc.)  
  • Proficient in MS Office, OneDrive, Zoom, etc.
