School Guidance Counselor
Full-time | Bucks County, PA  
Catapult Learning is in seek of a full-time high school counselor for a non-public high school in Bucks County, PA for the 2024-25 school year. Responsibilities may include individual and group counseling, guidance lessons, academic counseling, school-wide counseling initiatives, consultations, crisis management, parental involvement, and collaboration with community resources to best meet the needs of the students, families, and school community. 
Catapult Learning provides staff with regularly scheduled supervision and continued support throughout the school year. 

How you’ll be there for students:  
Be their advocate, difference maker, and mentor.   
  •  Ongoing communication and consultation with the Director of Guidance/Principal and other counselors.
  •  Prepare descriptive information regarding the department for distribution to administration, faculty, parents and students.
  •  Maintain communication with members of the staff and faculty concerning student attitudes, classwork and needs.
  •  Maintain confidentiality of the student files and records housed in the Guidance Office.
  •  Obtain and organize college materials.
  •  Provide scholarship information to students.
  •  Utilize and show students how to utilize any available computer information systems to get information on majors, schools and careers.
  •  Process scholarship applications, evaluations, recommendations and other forms as required in connection with college and employment applications.
  •  Maintain a good working relationship with colleges and other post-secondary institution’s admission counselors.
  •  Develop and/or coordinate college, financial aid and career opportunity programs.
  •  Interview and advise students individually and in groups.
  •  Refer students to appropriate resources as needed (school psychologists, speech therapist, etc.).
  •  Work with staff, faculty and students during crisis situations.
  •  Interpret standardized test scores.
  •  Act as a liaison between community counseling.

What we’ll need from you:  
The positive, enthusiastic candidate will have these qualifications.  
  •  Active PA School Counseling Certification 
  •  Must have all active PA state mandated clearances (Child abuse, FBI fingerprints, criminal background check, etc.)  
  •  Must be proficient with virtual platforms, i.e. Zoom
