Library Media Specialist
Part-time | Upper Darby, PA
Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, is currently seeking a part-time, Library Media Specialist to work in a Upper Darby area, non-public school for the remainder of the 2024-25 SY. This is a part-time, in-person position.
Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Manage and organize the school library’s physical and digital resources.
- Curate a diverse and engaging collection of books, periodicals, and educational media.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom curriculum and projects.
- Teach students research skills, media literacy, and responsible use of digital tools.
- Promote a love of reading through book talks, reading programs, and other initiatives.
- Assist students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources.
- Maintain the library catalog and inventory, ensuring materials are updated and in good condition.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming library environment that supports all learners.
- Stay current on trends in literature, educational technology, and library sciences.
- Plan and organize special events, author visits, or library-related programs to enhance student engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university
- Proficient with library resources
- Experience working in a school setting, preferred
