Description

Responsibilities

Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions (reporting tools, data repositories, integration with Tibco Spotfire for other business users, etc)

  • Crafting and executing queries upon request for adhoc data requests
  • Presenting information through reports and visualization through Tibco Spotfire (dashboards and interactive reports from multidimensional databases)
  • Work with other reporting team members to streamline and improve current reporting processes
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications to build analyses that addresses the business needs at hand

Requirements

  • Experience with SQL syntax for Teradata & DB2 databases – including proficiency in database object creation and complex queries from transactional data sources
  • Solid understanding of online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) framework
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, including object creation and manipulation to meet desired reporting formatting needs
  • Experience with Tibco Spotfire dashboards, including a wide range of data and visualizations
  • Experience with programming with C# (or C++), Java, .Net and HTML is preferred
  • Experience with other programming languages such as Python, R, Scala and Spark (to name a few) is a plus
  • Analytical mind with strong problem solving aptitude
  • Background in data mining and extracting/cleaning data from multiple sources is helpful
  • Understanding of machine learning would be beneficial
