Senior Software Engineer - Network Tooling
Description
- Design, engineer, test, deploy, maintain, and improve current and future software
- Define standard practices
- Mentor Junior Engineers
- Review code for accuracy, efficiency, maintainability
- Salary Range: $53,000 to $172,000
- 20 PTO (Paid Time Off) days + 10 paid holidays per year

- 7+ years of technical software engineering experience
- 2+ years of experience providing technical guidance to junior engineers
- Database Design, administration (cockroachDB, postgres, MySQL, mongo)
- Microservices
- Event-driven Architectures leveraging queues and caches
- ATDD, TDD, DDD, BDD
Preferred:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Deep knowledge of modern software design principles and best practices
- Ability to take complex ideas and mold them into a deployable product
- Strong experience building services in Python or Go
- Experience with continuous integration and source code management tools
- Knowledge of DevOps strategies and concepts
- Supervised machine learning using classification and regression
Desired:
- Knowledge of modern networking concepts, routing protocols, and hardware/software
