JOB DESCRIPTION –

An ENGR, PROJECT MANAGEMENT supports multiple ISPE initiatives that require coordination and support from a cross-functional team including and not limited to Outside Plant, Broadband, Transport, Power, Construction, OPCEN, CORE, and Provisioning.

The Project Manager will hold cross-functional meetings to manage projects and o meet deliverables.  The type of projects includes FTTH, Network upgrades to support higher BW offerings, expense reductions, DSLAM Port upgrades, and other company initiatives.

A people leader is required who is comfortable interacting with all levels of the business and remove roadblocks and escalate as required to meet objectives.  This person will work as a team member with other Project Managers.  This individual will be responsible for managing multiple programs at once and working with vendors and cross-function teams to meet deliverables. 

The Project Manager owns the project or program assigned from inception/ kick-off calls to the delivery and develops a premortem for risks.  Additionally, they will develop post-mortem to ensure future success and escalate as required during implementation.

They will develop leadership reporting to ensure the business is aware of the status of the project/program.

Required Experience & Knowledge –

Will have responsibility for National support for projects and programs to meet company objectives.

 Network ownership, oversight, and advisor

  • Provide guidance and support to Program Deployment within a defined timeline
  • Required Expert and advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL Coding, Power BI, and other tools to take multiple data inputs and output in a way to manage hundreds of activities efficiently
  • Will need to be able to travel occasionally for site visits and kick-off calls
  • Bachelor’s Degree required and/or 5 years related experience
  • Project Management Certification Required, PMP Preferred
  • Project management skills - Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a technical environment with the ability to report and track project progress through good project management techniques
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications including Outside Plant, Inside Plant, Construction and COE
  • Aptitude for learning company systems such as Infinium, LCAM, PATS, SharePoint, Varasset, etc.
  • Financial Analysis - Must be comfortable facilitating projects and making financial decisions
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong analytical aptitude.
  • Strong English-language written and oral communications skills. Must be comfortable presenting and be able to provide the appropriate level of materials to all audiences - executive, engineering, marketing, and customer
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Be able to work outside the Monday thru Friday time frame as needed
