Automation and Process Improvement – Analyst IT Operations

As an Analyst – IT Operations, you will be partnering with clients to analyze and document their business requirements and identify areas of improvement through automation.  You will work closely with development peers to implement automated solutions among various systems. You will support a variety of internally developed systems to support IT Operations functions including automated billing reports, inventory management, integration with monitoring and ticketing systems, among other systems focused on automating and improving internal processes. 

The candidate should possess hands-on development experience in .NET and Oracle, and possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients.  The applicant should be enthusiastic about solving business problems by reducing manual processes through automation. This position requires regular interaction with outside departments to improve their workflow.  


  • Collaborate with clients to understand, document, and solve business problems
  • Develop detailed design documentation including specifications, process flow diagrams, screen mock-ups, and identify use cases
  • Work with peers to reduce manual processes through automation using .NET
  • Provide daily BAU support of the identity management system
  • Identify and run database queries to obtain information and reports as needed
  • Deliver software of the highest quality through good design, attention to detail, and thorough unit/system testing
  • Identify and correct problems uncovered by testing or end user feedback
  • Perform client delivery & project execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate status of work to leads
  • Perform 1-2 code deployments per month, occasional after hours work if needed
  • Complete tasks consistently and on time to meet release schedules 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related subject matter
  • 1-4 years of development experience (ASP.NET, C#, VB)
  • 1-4 years of database experience with Oracle
  • Gather and document client needs, and develop software solutions to meet them
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to work closely with clients
  • Ability to document business requirements, use cases, flows, and mock-ups
  • Possess a strong aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to express a positive “can do” attitude
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop and analyze requirements & design and work in conjunction with other developers to implement software solutions
  • Have strong organizational skills with good attention to details
  • Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently 


  • Strong mathematical skills to support reports and queries for automating billing functions.
  • Experience with creating, deploying, and consuming Web Services (SOAP, RESTful, WSDL, XML, JSON, WebAPI)
  • Ability to write, support, and debug complex queries in Oracle
  • Experience and understanding of object-oriented design principles, programming, and design patterns such as MVC
  • Proficient in leveraging development tools (source code repositories, IDEs, and debuggers)
  • Validate user actions on the client side and provide responsive feedback
  • Experience working in N-Tier architectures (e.g. UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer)
  • Ability to create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components 


  • Experience with Angular / AngularJS
  • Experience with Responsive/CSS/JS frameworks
  • Experience with third party controls (Telerik)
  • Knowledge of Angular code generation, AngularJS practices, and modules
