Description

This position will be part of the Material Control Center Team.  The Material Control Specialist is responsible for material project management for capital projects for all class of plant project types – BP, CO, OP, TO, TR AND EX which supports BAU, CIAC, CAF, ETHERNET (Metro E/RAD NID) and other key initiatives, once the project is approved. This team is responsible for partnering with logistics to escalate if PO’s are not issued, work with vendors to get scheduled ship dates and for gathering tracking information and populating this detail in Varasset. They are also responsible for escalating material/requesting expedited shipping and receipting purchase orders when necessary. This team typically does not manage FSI (expense) orders unless requested, then the MCC will manage as necessary to ensure we meet date commitments. In order to perform these functions, the material control specialist’s partner with Engineering, Construction, COEI, Logistics and Operations.
