What we’re seeking:        

Under the direct supervision of the Associate General Counsel, the Legal Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support including (a) with regard to administrative matters: scheduling, document generation, filing, answering phones and management of daily operations for the Associate General Counsel and (b) with regard to legal matters: project intake and triage, review and collection of information related to legal issues, contracts, regulatory matters, provision of Frontier services and questions regarding such service, integration project document and issue reviews, and other litigation, real estate, corporate, trademark, intellectual property, software, and sales agreements and projects. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize workload.

Pro-activity is a must.  The ability to take initiative and identify needed information to complete tasks is required.  Fast-paced start-up environment for some projects and established corporate entity environment for others.  Outstanding opportunity to work with experienced corporate business attorneys and professionals in a welcoming and expanding organization.  Contract and other drafting opportunities are available; experience is highly desired, but drafting skills will be fostered and developed. In this hybrid role, you will have a defined work location HUB which includes work from home and assigned days in the office set by your manager. The HUB for this role will be either in Norwalk or New Haven, CT.   

        

What you’ll do:        

Additional responsibilities include (from time to time and depending on the project, issues and/or other members of the organization involvement in the project):        

  • Assist with travel arrangements, scheduling, preparation of materials, and other logistical details
  • Proactively support Associate General Counsel with special projects, high-level meetings (both internal/external) and preparation of meeting materials
  • Conduct outreach and follow-up with internal and external persons, including the Senior Leadership Team, law firms, and Frontier customers (daily and with shifting priorities responding to the needs of the organization)
  • Provide general administrative support, including preparation of calendar and telephone management, expense reports, and corporate credit card reconciliation
  • Perform factual research as needed
  • Maintain document files, and file pleadings with the state regulatory commission or court clerk
  • Analyze and process outside counsel requests and invoices
  • Provide litigation support, monitor case statuses with outside counsel; maintain litigation database of open and closed cases

  • Salary Range: $35,000 to $126,000

What background you should have:        

  • Minimum 2-year degree, paralegal training certificate a plus
  • 3 + years of experience in a corporate setting, concentrating on corporate law and securities (or equivalent experience)
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (i.e., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and focused on completing tasks under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Team player willing to support other members of the Legal Department
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive material with discretion
  • Strong telephone etiquette and verbal and written communication skills are required
  • The ability to work overtime is required. Hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
