Quality & Estimation Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
As our Quality and Estimation Specialist, reporting to the Roofing Manager for the Department, you'll be reviewing roofing and other pre-solar construction-related work types for quality and accuracy. Additionally, you'll be providing internal estimates based on regional cost analysis for each of the work types.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately review and assess site conditions based on photos taken by field teams
- Ensure all data is entered accurately for projects in assigned region or branch (i.e. Statuses, stages and notes are up to date)
- Meet essential key performance indicators pertaining to timelines and cost accuracy
- Use regional calculators to accurately estimate costs on various types of construction projects
- Update costs based on market trends and subcontractor feedback
- Understand and interpret necessary building codes, AHJ and utility requirements that can impact the scope of work being defined
- Communicate with both internal and third party affiliates in a professional manner
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years experience in Electrical, Construction, or Solar estimation or project management role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong PC, MS Office, and Office Equipment skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Confidence, drive, enthusiasm and sense of responsibility
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES:
- Regularly use office equipment and computers for extended periods of time
- Comfortable reviewing and entering information into a computer for extended periods of time
- Able to move from sitting to standing positions, bend, twist, and use hands and fingers
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Can speak clearly so listeners can understand, and listen to understand another person
- Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
