Position Overview: As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll be the technical expert driving safe and efficient electrical work for our residential solar projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring top-notch installation and compliance with all codes and standards.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Perform electrical work in a neat, compliant manner
  • Assemble and install components of residential solar systems
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues
  • Interface with branch leadership for compliance and training
  • Adhere to OSHA, NEC, AHJ, and Utility requirements
  • Collaborate with the crew to complete photovoltaic (PV) system installations
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process
  • Maintain accurate documentation and update job status in our database
Qualifications: 
Education & Certifications: 
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician or Wireman License
Experience: 
  • Proven experience with main panel upgrades (MPU) and solar batteries (Tesla, Enphase, Span Panels, Solar Edge)
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experience
  • Proficient with hand and power tools in the electrical trade
Skills: 
  • Current and valid State Journeyman License/Electrician Certification
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a driving background check
  • Ability to manage work timelines effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work safely
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of current NEC codes
Special Skills & Training: 
  • Working knowledge of conduit bending (EMT)
  • Experience in replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels
