Position Overview: As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll be the technical expert driving safe and efficient electrical work for our residential solar projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring top-notch installation and compliance with all codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical work in a neat, compliant manner
- Assemble and install components of residential solar systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues
- Interface with branch leadership for compliance and training
- Adhere to OSHA, NEC, AHJ, and Utility requirements
- Collaborate with the crew to complete photovoltaic (PV) system installations
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process
- Maintain accurate documentation and update job status in our database
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician or Wireman License
Experience:
- Proven experience with main panel upgrades (MPU) and solar batteries (Tesla, Enphase, Span Panels, Solar Edge)
- Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experience
- Proficient with hand and power tools in the electrical trade
Skills:
- Current and valid State Journeyman License/Electrician Certification
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a driving background check
- Ability to manage work timelines effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work safely
- Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- Knowledge of current NEC codes
Special Skills & Training:
- Working knowledge of conduit bending (EMT)
- Experience in replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels
