POSITION SUMMARY: 
  
As our Permit Support Coordinator you’ll be responsible for assembling, submitting, and obtaining all permit documents required for the designing of PV and PV+ Storage systems. You’ll interface with in-house designers and city officials, working with them to prepare and review all paperwork and drawings necessary to receive building permits. To keep projects in installation-ready status, you’ll resolve objections related to building, zoning and planning departments as needed.  
 
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Update all relevant sections in AHJ databases with clear  and accurate information: Portal links, logins, passwords, submission process notes, and inspection details/requirements     
  • Communicate with AHJs to follow up on permits: Checking online portals, making payments, creating Change Tickets for AHJ corrections  
  • Communicate with homeowners about signatures needed, long permitting timelines, inspection delays, or other actions needed   
  • Manage the Permit Refund Pipeline by requesting, obtaining, and following up on refunds   
  • Call cities and counties for application process(es), costs, status updates, and to confirm project jurisdiction 
  • Complete permit applications per AHJ and SOW requirements, and submit plans electronically 
  • Upload approved plans and job cards to our CRM/ERP 
  • Upload corrections and notify the design team in our CRM/ERP 
  • Use and understand various BI reports to make educated decisions and reprioritize to address growing queues 
  • Escalate system and process issues to the Permit Support Supervisor.  
  • Manage expense reports and meet the weekly deadline for expenses to be submitted.
  • Attend weekly webinars or departmental calls 
  • Perform other duties as assigned    
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Strong attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality work 
  • Experience interfacing with municipal electrical and building departments 
  • Experience using DocuSign, Adobe .pdf, Outlook, Excel, and Word is preferred
  • Self-motivated and works well in a collaborative team environment 
  • Organizational skills to manage workflow and multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record  
  • High School Graduate or GED 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES:
  • Regularly use office equipment and computers for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable reviewing and entering information into a computer for extended periods of time
  • Able to move from sitting to standing positions, bend, twist, and use hands and fingers
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
  • Can speak clearly so listeners can understand, and listen to understand another person
  • Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
