Purchasing Specialist II

Position Summary:
As our Purchasing Specialist II you’ll be coordinating purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and all equipment related to project installations and safety. In this role, you’ll have opportunities to identify cost savings and improve inventory turns and accuracy, and you’ll monitor inventory levels and track purchase orders to ensure that at all warehouses have sufficient materials relating to production needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Place orders to replenish stock, avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
- Manage activities related to purchasing, material requirements planning, or receiving.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchase orders
- Follow up on order discrepancies
- Build and maintain Supplier Scorecards
- Inspect the levels of business supplies and material to identify shortages
- Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
- Evaluate vendor invoices and pricing to ensure accuracy
- Monitor asset tagging system for field safety gear and field construction equipment.
- Assist in tracking and accounting for Freedom Forever's inventory
- Hold employees accountable to standard operating procedures as established
- Work with staff to provide deliverables, escalate accordingly if deliverables can’t be met
- Assist in developing and managing a cycle count program
Desired Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year experience with inventory and purchasing
- An analytical mind with strong math skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Working knowledge of inventory management software, NetSuite is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and Google Suite
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- Provide excellent customer service
- Able to take initiative and work well under minimal supervision
- High School Graduate or GED
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Regularly use office equipment and computers for extended periods of time
- Comfortable reviewing and entering information into a PC for extended periods of time
- Communicate professionally through email and phone
- Ability to work on projects with deadlines
- Able to move from sitting to standing positions, bend, twist, and use hands and fingers
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Can speak clearly so listeners can understand, and listen to understand another person
- Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
