POSITION SUMMARY: 
The master electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and have working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Oversee the installation and monitor performance of photovoltaic electrical and mechanical equipment installed by internal or external resources for the following: NEC compliance, OSHA, industry methods and best practices. Provide installation services and continued operations and maintenance of electrical equipment up to and exceeding 1000 volts DC including medium voltage, central, string, and microinverters, DC combiner boxes and panels, rapid shutdown equipment, disconnects and series parallel module strings. Provide installation services and continued operations and maintenance of electrical equipment up to and exceeding 480 volts AC including various switchgear, disconnects, relays, transformers, breakers, and lighting. Partner with Project Managers on project-related assignments including project planning, tracking, and documentation from project proposal phase to project closeout. Make recommendations to Branch Manager regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or other changes in status of other employees. 
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 
 
Education & Certifications: 
  • Possesses a State Master Electrician (A) license issued by the Board of State Examiners of Electricians, Division of Professional Licensure

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work.)  If required to travel, must have a valid Driver's License/Insurance and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
