POSITION SUMMARY:  
  
As a Regional Safety Coach with Freedom Forever, you’ll be accountable for analyzing work environments, programs, and procedures, and training and mentoring individuals to ensure workplace safety is occurring.  
  
JOB DUTIES:  
  • Educate, and mentor Freedom Forever employees on OSHA 1926 regulations.
  • Exemplify and promote a culture of safety.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and protocols.
  • Maintain and update safety-related plans and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents to identify causes and determine how to prevent such accidents in the future.
  • Analyze accident and incident reports for trends; makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions.
  • Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and educational programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
  • Consult with others regarding safe or healthy equipment or facilities.
  • Provide new-employee health and safety orientations.
  • Conduct jobsite audits and prepare reports on findings.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • 2-years related experience in construction safety (OSHA 1926).
  • Self-motivated and can work well independently.
  • Willing to travel for work (40-50%) to company branches and job sites.
  • Can work flexible hours as needed.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Accountability, and consistent follow-through on tasks.
  • Strong customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment, including with others of diverse personalities, education, and cultural backgrounds. 
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, protocols, and/or procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer applications 
  • Collage or Technical degree in environmental, health and safety, or High School Graduate + 4-years of related experience in health & safety in a construction environment. 
  • Must have a valid state driver's license. 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and ABILITIES: 
  • Regularly sitting and using office equipment and computers.
  • Able to move from sitting to standing positions frequently.
  • Able to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
  • Able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops. 
  • Occasionally lift 25 pounds.
