POSITION SUMMARY:
The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the distribution 
center, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely distribution of goods. This role involves managing staff, optimizing operational processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee daily operations of the distribution center, including receiving, storage, order picking, 
packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate distribution center staff.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop team members through coaching, training, and career development initiatives.
• Continuously review and improve operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Implement lean management techniques and other best practices.
• Develop and utilize data and KPIs to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure the distribution center complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Address and resolve customer service issues and complaints promptly.
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage the distribution center budget.
• Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
• Ensure financial objectives are met through efficient resource management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, 
transportation, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution or warehouse management 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with lean management or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
• Highly proficient in MS Excel
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES
• Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
• Regularly spend long hours answering phone calls and emails
• Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
• Regularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and entering information into a 
computer
• Ability to work safely in an office/warehouse environment

• Reach with hands and arms
• Regularly Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally required to stand; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; hear
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, 
extreme heat.
