POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Sales Support Manager has a leadership role focused on pre-sale action that affects post-sale processes and operations. This person oversees the Sales Support team whose main priority is front lining pre-sale inquiries as well as proposals. This is a fast-paced department and requires a high sense of urgency with the accuracy to match. This role provides, organizes and implements a process for a well-functioning team and strives for high performance. The process should create a steady flow of projects in the Operations pipeline and should avoid all possible support issues. The Sales Support Manager role will have a great understanding of finance, construction, system details and the solar industry. 
  
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Be familiar and utilize knowledge of utility, AHJ and Freedom policies to implement structure, policies and procedures 
  • Is up to date with industry and company changes that affect proposals and pricing 
  • Has a deep understanding of the workflows between departmental technologies 
  • Responsible for keeping tools and platforms up to date with changes regarding contracts, policies, utility rate and/or incentive changes, finance rate changes, dealer fee changes, etc 
  • Understands and can perform the functions of all proposal builds 
  • Understands finance in terms of loan products, dealer fees and how to price them in conjunction with net and gross price per watt 
  • Work alongside our marketing and legal teams to ensure all proposal content fits state, design, formatting and brand requirements 
  • Provide training and knowledge to the sales force (and at times the larger organization) of proposal updates, processes, and procedures. 
  • Manages the real-time support and service for sales representatives in the home 
  • Ensure all inquiries are answered effectively in a timely manner and that the team is performing to their best capabilities throughout the day 
  • Knowledgeable in the operational and sales functions of Freedom Forever 
  • Must stay up to date with company processes, software and policies 
  • Manages working queues, including keeping detailed reporting of KPI’s, and advising management on trending situations where necessary 
  • Analyzes audit results for process improvement with staff, technology and sales 
  • Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for training or skill checks 
  • Communicates deadlines and sales goals to team members 
  • Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals 
  • Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations 
  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines 
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned 
 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 
  
Experience: 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in the solar field 
  • Minimum of 3 years in management
