POSITION SUMMARY: 
  
The Ground Mount Production Manager is responsible for organizing and leading the branch installation team. The Ground Mount Production Manager will be accountable for key performance metrics by managing a team of installers, ensuring that all projects are installed according to company standards. This position is responsible for overseeing the installation of Ground Mount solar projects ensuring a smooth handoff between the inspection department. The Ground Mount Production Manager ensures adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures. The Ground Mount Production Manager will be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. 
  
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Send out Crew line ups daily – night before update on scheduling of inspections for the next dayPre-install project review. 
  • Assign install sitecapture to crew. 
  • Review site audit for site conditions prior to day of installation. Ensuring array location and the trench path are clear of obstructions. 
  • Ensure plans are accurate and manage any changes needed to the plan set prior to the day of installation. 
  • Confirm all equipment needed has been reserved. 
  • Past due install cleanup by 9:00 am.   
  • Reviewing projects anticipated to compete the day prior to update the field calendar, if needed. 
  • Review jobs after installation. 
  • Confirm project completion scheduling any outstanding punch list items for the crew responsible for completion.  
  • Quality check; Confirm crews are installing to Quality and Safety standardsCoach crew(s) through any quality or safety concerns found. 
  • Ensure installation completion matches the approved plans.   
  • Confirm, if any, changes to installation were recorded through the Install Hotline.   
  • Review sitecapture confirming all required photos and safety procedures were executed. 
  • Confirm permit packet is on site for inspection. 
  • Confirm project is inspection ready, correcting any discrepancies that may cause an inspection failure.  
      
  • Performance Management 
  • Ensure all employees are following Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook and safety policies.  
  • Hold coaching and performance conversations with employees, timely 
  • Discuss 
  • Quality of installation. 
  • Failed inspections and Early Life System failures. 
  • Review and hold employees accountable for assigned LMS (Learning Management System) trainings. 
  • Safety and fleet violations.  
  • Perform at minimum of two (2) safety audits per week. 
  • Host regional ‘Toolbox Talks,’ covering any company updates. 
  • Coach teams through trends, changes or updates needed, by using photos and safety audits. 
  • Fleet 
  • Ensure accurate vehicle assignments. 
  • Keep and maintain regular vehicle maintenance schedules. 
  • Ensure registration tags, title and insurance are up to date and in vehicles.  
  • Ensure tools are in the correct assigned vehicle with assigned crew.  
  • Ensure all tools are correctly assigned to the appropriate crews. 
  • Utilize crew labels or a number system to properly track all tools. 
  • Audit all tool assignments and physical tool inventory quarterly.  
  • Order new or replacement tools, as needed.  
  • Crew(s) 
  • Travel 
  • Set up and request crew Per Diems. 
  • Work with management and travel personnel to set up hotel bookings and other transportation requirements, if applicable.  
  • Discuss the crews agenda and plan with the receiving branch management team.  
  • Crew Bonus 
  • Track and maintain crew bonuses throughout the week. 
  • Apply any additional adders, modifiers or dings, as appropriate 
  
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 
  
Education & Certifications: 
  • High School Graduate or GED 
  
Experience: 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the solar industry 
  • Prior crew supervision or management preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work.) 
  
The Ground Mount Production Manager requires a valid Driver's License/Insurance and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites, for travel.
