JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Surface Finisher to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to install and repair drywall, perform wall and ceiling texturing, and paint surfaces. The Commercial Surface Finisher will contribute to creating a clean and presentable working environment and may also assist the team with rough and finish carpentry tasks. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with our company, project managers, and directors. Bilingual or multilingual speakers preferred, but not required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None

JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Installing and repairing drywall, including joining drywall panels using tape and plaster
• Performing repairs on cracks and any other damage to surfaces
• Concealing imperfections or exposed irregularities in the drywall surface
• Layering plaster or spackle with trowels to create a flat surface
• Sanding down rough areas on the wall to achieve a smooth surface
• Skimming the surface with a final layer of plaster in preparation for finishing work
• Painting surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and/or paint rollers, both indoors and outdoors
• Performing exterior EIFS
• Completing rough and finish carpentry tasks as directed by the construction site lead
• Managing and maintaining all the required equipment for the job
• Inform your supervisor with regularity regarding progress and reporting any job-related issues
• Maintaining a clean and presentable working environment

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial surface finishing
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Solid understanding of construction practices, including project planning
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time
• Must provide own hand tools, including, but not limited to, tape measure, utility knife, hand trowels
• Utilize all tools in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Physical stamina to work in commercial job sites and perform manual tasks
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds unassisted
• Ability to tolerate heights and work while standing on a ladder or lift

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work on commercial job sites, including, but not limited to, restaurants, pharmacies, and local doctors' offices
• Schedules of 8-10 hour shifts, with the possibility of overnight stays and travel, including hotel accommodations
• Monday to Friday schedule, with potential Sunday start and Friday return, striving for weekends at home, when possible
• Must be willing to share a hotel room with a crew member while utilizing hotel accommodation
