JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile Commercial Carpenter with a diverse set of construction-related skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of commercial carpentry, including wood and vinyl trim installation, cabinet installation, ceiling grid tile installation, metal and wood framing, countertop installation, carpeting installation, commercial/hollow metal door frames/hardware installation, and general handy-worker tasks. The Commercial Carpenter will work on commercial job sites, collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality results. Bilingual or multilingual speakers preferred, but not required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position may occasionally assume the role of a team lead in the absence of an onsite supervisor.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Install wood and vinyl trim, including baseboards and cabinets
• Install ceiling grid tile (drop-down ceiling)
• Execute metal and wood framing tasks
• Carry out countertop installations, including solid surface and laminate materials
• Install carpet
• Demonstrate expertise in commercial/hollow metal door frames and hardware installation
• Utilize handy-worker skills in electrical, tile, paint, drywall finishing and plumbing tasks
• Inform your supervisor with regularity regarding progress and reporting any job-related issues
• Maintain a clean and presentable working environment

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial surface finishing
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Strong understanding of construction practices, including project planning
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time
• Must supply and maintain own hand tools, including, but not limited to, hammer, tape measure, toolbelt, level, etc.
• Utilize all tools in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check and motor vehicle record check (MVR)
• Valid driver's license to drive/operate vehicles when needed to assist the onsite lead

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Physical stamina to work in commercial job sites and perform manual tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds unassisted
• Ability to tolerate heights and work while standing on a ladder or lift

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work on commercial job sites, including, but not limited to, restaurants, pharmacies, and local doctors' offices
• Schedules of 8-10 hour shifts, with the possibility of overnight stays and travel, including hotel accommodations
• Monday to Friday schedule, with potential Sunday start and Friday return, striving for weekends at home, when possible
• Must be willing to share a hotel room with a crew member while utilizing hotel accommodation
