Indirect Buyer
- Process requisitions through purchase order creation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Own vendor onboarding activities for assigned commodity areas, including coordination across internal stakeholders and risk or compliance reviews.
- Partner with Procurement leadership to source and qualify suppliers through market research, capability assessments, and commercial negotiations.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for indirect goods and services across multiple business functions.
- Work closely with Legal to finalize contracts for assigned categories, including managing redlines and supporting execution.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and approval frameworks across assigned areas.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders through clear communication and reliable execution.
- Prepare and maintain recurring reports for assigned areas, including spend, vendor status, and operational metrics.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to support timely and accurate invoicing and resolution of payment issues.
- Manage supplier relationships within assigned areas, including issue resolution and ongoing performance oversight.
- Track contract milestones, renewals, and expirations to ensure timely action and continuity of service.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensure contract compliance, and address performance or relationship issues as they arise.
- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities aligned with procurement objectives.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects to support broader company priorities.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve procurement processes.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement policies, tools, and processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 4+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, with a focus on indirect goods and services, preferably supporting a global, high-tech or SaaS organization.
• Strong experience preparing for and supporting supplier pricing and commercial terms negotiations, including coordination with senior procurement and business stakeholders.
• Solid ability to review, understand, and interpret supplier agreements, SOWs, order forms, and related contractual documents.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word; experience with procurement, contract, intake, or ERP tracking systems is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed environment, managing multiple priorities across regions and time zones.
• Strong knowledge of indirect procurement best practices, vendor lifecycle management, and relevant legal and compliance considerations in a global context.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with global stakeholders.
• Proven analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to support sourcing decisions, negotiations, renewals, and ongoing vendor management.
Travel
- Minimal travel may be required for this position
- This role requires the individual to work a normal shift through 2 PM Central Time (EMEA shift in India) to support relevant internal stakeholders and suppliers.
