What You Will Do
Forescout has an excellent opportunity for an engaging and employee-focused Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our high-energy, multi-cultural, world-changing team.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead complex sourcing initiatives, drive commercial outcomes, and serve as a trusted procurement partner to the business.
This role is designed for a proven self-starter who can step into a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and quickly operate with minimal oversight. The successful candidate will independently manage high-value negotiations, influence stakeholders, optimize supplier relationships, and bring strong commercial judgment to complex decisions.
In addition to strategic sourcing ownership, this role will play a critical role in strengthening procurement operations, improving process discipline, and increasing scalability across tools, workflows, and cross-functional execution.
This is a high-visibility role requiring urgency, executive presence, accountability, and the ability to consistently deliver results under pressure.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Strategic Sourcing and Negotiations:
- Own and lead end-to-end vendor negotiations including pricing, contract terms, SLAs, renewal structures, and commercial risk.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies with clear objectives, fallback positions, and competitive leverage.
- Drive measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and contract optimization across assigned categories.
- Lead RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes independently for medium to high complexity engagements.
- Conduct market benchmarking and pricing validation to strengthen sourcing positions and renewal strategies.
- Structure multi-year agreements, renewal protections, and pricing controls aligned with business needs.
Business Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, proactively influencing sourcing decisions and commercial strategy.
- Engage early in business planning cycles to anticipate demand and position procurement ahead of spend.
- Translate business requirements into sourcing strategies, supplier selection criteria, and commercial frameworks.
- Provide clear visibility into sourcing pipeline, savings performance, and commercial risks through structured updates and QBRs.
- Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure timely decision-making and execution.
Contract and Commercial Ownership:
- Partner closely with Legal to lead contract structuring, redlines, and negotiations through execution.
- Ensure alignment on risk exposure, compliance requirements, and internal policy across all agreements.
- Own renewal strategy and supplier commercial lifecycle management proactively.
- Maintain clean, accurate contract and sourcing data across Oracle, ZIP, and CLM systems.
Procurement Operations Oversight:
- Lead continuous optimization of procurement workflows, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and delays across the end-to-end intake-to-purchase process.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, Security, and business stakeholders to streamline approvals, improve handoffs, and accelerate cycle times without sacrificing controls.
- Serve as a power user and operational owner across procurement systems (ZIP, Oracle, CLM), driving adoption, discipline, and consistency.
- Own operational governance of requisitioning, purchase order, and change order workflows, ensuring timely execution, clean data, and policy alignment.
- Identify recurring operational pain points and implement scalable, sustainable solutions that improve user experience and visibility.
- Build reporting and performance visibility around procurement cycle times, backlog, workflow health, and service levels.
- Partner with buyers and sourcing teams to ensure operational execution supports commercial priorities and business urgency.
- Establish scalable standards, documentation, and process controls that enable growth while maintaining consistency and compliance.
