Senior Security/Network Engineer (TS/SCI)

Position Summary:
Force 3, a Sirius Company, is looking for a Senior Cisco Security/Network Engineer, with a current TS/SCI security clearance, to work in National Capital Region. In this role, you will be supporting a US Federal Government customer and helping build out a large campus environment. You will work both independently and oversee other team members to achieve personal and programmatic goals. You will serve as a mentor and individual contributor to help ensure a network readiness that will support a fully meshed, routed network that provides a high level of national security.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists with network design, layouts and develops the baseline configuration for the system.
• Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements and provides recommendations and guidance.
• Briefs government customer and other contractors on recommended solutions and designs. Be able to think critically and solve problems. Mentor junior/mid engineers to help them solve problems.
• A primary responsibility for this role will be to support a multi-faceted installation of their physical, L2, L3, network, and configuration sets, to help ensure the readiness of the customer infrastructure.
• Understand Cisco CLI/GUI and be able to install and troubleshoot baseline configurations
• Investigate and help resolve initial implementation and configuration related issues on a variety of customer's Cisco equipment using best practices and agreed methodologies.
• Develop a strong understanding of customer’s topology, locations and uplinks, as well as endpoints with IP addresses to deliver impactful results.
• Have a strong understanding of Cisco product portfolio (especially switching and firewall including ASA and Firepower), tool sets, and IOS versions
• Understand basic Ethernet and Fiber cabling best practices ; assist as needed
• Racking and powering up equipment in a neat and organized manner with correct cable management procedures

Basic Qualifications:
• A current TS security clearance with SCI eligibility is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a technical related field or 15 years’ experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security or equivalent hands on experience.
• Current DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification
• Strong knowledge of the Cisco Security product portfolio, with the ability to scope and accurately size equipment based on customer’s needs.
• Ability to design a network topology based on customers intent and requirements.
• Must be able to create and understand network diagrams and rack elevations using Microsoft Excel.



Other Position Requirements:
• Ability to apply DISA STIGs to Cisco Security equipment.
• Hand-On Experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, Cisco Firepower Management Center.
• Familiarity with proper protocols and procedures for working in a SCIF.
• Must be familiar with Type 1 encryption solutions (KG-175 A/F/G/X)
• Understanding of JWICs and or SIPR environments.
• Must be capable of engineering and documenting network solutions, not just deploying or configuring
• Good verbal and written presentation skills
