Follett is actively searching for a Parts Specialist to join our Team!

The Parts Specialist supplies customers with required service parts. Clarifies part order information, generates quotations, completes order processing, schedules delivery, and verifies customer satisfaction either by live phone interaction or via email. Responsible for all aspects of the customer’s requests, accuracy is a must. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assists customers in identifying parts based on measurements, physical description, and application information. Utilizes technical manuals and “exploded parts diagrams” to identify parts needed by the customer.
  • Produces quotations for customers based on customer requirements via email / phone.
  • Completes service parts orders by verifying the accuracy and completeness of orders; entering information into system; preparing shipment paperwork; routing order to stockroom for filling.
  • Ensures delivery by tracking delayed orders; resolves or facilitates the resolution of problems.
  • Provides information to customers by answering service part related questions.
  • Determines the return status of parts under warranty and issues the appropriate RMA information as needed
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops and seminars; reviewing professional and trade publications; and participating in available company product training.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree requirements – High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred, in a business/administrative or mechanical related field of study. Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • 2-3 years in a customer service or customer focused manufacturing environment.  Experience with reading technical manuals and parts diagrams.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated phone skills
  • Demonstrated self-starter that creates and sustains results.
