THE ROLE:

FloSports is hiring an HR People Business Partner to join our team. This position is based in Austin, Texas.  The People Business Partner role will help connect the needs of the business to the processes and systems in people operations and will support the FloSports Operations and Technology/Product organizations. 


We are looking for someone who is strong at building business relationships and connecting the interdepartmental dependencies and strategies across their lines of business to drive employee engagement and retention. This person will operate in a consultative manner to offer possible solutions and recommendations to management and leadership, as well as provide 1:1 coaching and mentoring to management and employees.  


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee Engagement and Performance Management: Partnering with HR Engagement Manager and department managers to drive employee engagement, recognition and retention programs.  Working towards increasing engagement, NPS scores, retention rates and decreasing departmental turnover.  
  • Data Analysis:  Provide relevant data and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, organizational structures, retention, promotions and other activities. 
  • Organizational Development and Support: Understand the needs of the organization in terms of achieving maximum organizational performance and efficiency and to help your business partners achieve this through organization structure, headcount management, succession planning, talent management and performance management.  
  • Talent Acquisition: Liaise between the FloSports Talent Acquisition team and the business function to help facilitate prioritization in hiring, quality of hire and hitting agreed upon hiring expectations.  
  • Learning and development: Understand the training/development needs and acts as liaison with the Director of Talent Management to provide appropriate development opportunities to the organization. 
  • People metrics: Track and report staffing, retention, attrition, and other necessary data to line management; recommend programs and/or enhancements as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • 5+  years experience in a HR business partner, generalist and/or management role. 
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and laws.
  • Collaborative and strong at building partnerships with business partners.
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy to resolve sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work with raw data, to be analyze that data, put together strategic recommendations and solutions around growth and change opportunities.
  • Experience developing and delivering quarterly departmental reviews based on agreed upon goals, objectives and data.  
  • Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help managers and employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals. 
  • Proven ability to influence various levels of management.
  • Experience using and crafting Excel spreadsheets with the ability to interpret and provide significant insights and recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to navigate and thrive in a face paced, changing and vibrant environment.
