Position at FloSports

FloSports is looking for a solutions-focused attorney to join our legal department in a Counsel,
Business and Legal Affairs role. This role will report to our Vice President, Business and
Legal Affairs and be part of a nimble and highly efficient legal team. The primary responsibility
will be to support our media rights acquisition team in building partnerships with rights holders
across a variety of underserved sports.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports, media, and have some expertise around
the acquisition, production, and distribution of content. We’d love to have you at our
headquarters in Austin, Texas, but we have a strong remote culture and are open to fully remote
candidates for this role.

The successful candidate will have a history of exceptional performance in prior employment
and academics, be impeccable with their word, and understand the necessity of tracking and
keeping commitments.


● Negotiate, draft, and administer a variety of sports media agreements, including rights
acquisition, production, talent, original programming, unscripted content, documentaries,
advertising, sponsorship, and marketing
● Advise and build consensus among business executives about the acquisition,
production, and distribution of live sports events and content, including industry customs,
best practices, legal compliance (e.g., privacy, employment, etc.), and the evaluation
and management of risk
● Analyze a variety of contracts in response to questions from senior business and legal


● College degree and J.D. from an accredited law school
● Active bar membership
● 3+ years experience practicing law in the areas of content licensing, production,
programming, distribution; experience with online subscription business models is also
● Demonstrated "first chair" interaction with internal or external clients supporting
business negotiations
● Passionate about sports and media
● Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills
● Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
● Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters
