Required immediately, our Edmonton branch is seeking an Entry Level Accounting Clerk.

Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk works collaboratively with branch staff to ensure proper practices and policies are being followed. Also responsible for timely completion of inventory reconciliations and partial completion of bank reconciliations.

Qualifications:

  • Related secondary education with General Accounting and/or 1-2 years hands on accounting experience
  • 1-2 years Inventory reconciliation an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
  • Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Well-developed problem solving and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Subject to criminal record check
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an asset

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily Invoicing of Orders to customers.
  • Accounts Receivable Management and Collections.
  • Assists in completing bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Bank Deposits
  • Completes inventory reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Analyzes inventory reconciliation and makes adjusting entries when required
  • Works with branches to ensure proper procedures and policies are being followed
  • Assists the Lead Accountant in the month end closing procedures for financial statement purposes.
  • Provides reception coverage as required
  • Other duties as assigned
