Required immediately, our LOCAL KENT BRANCH is seeking a FULL TIME BUYER FOR OUR MANUFACTURING FACILITY.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage our procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments and will be responsible for placing orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods among other things.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree is not required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations.
- Working with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure materials are available as needed.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules and resolve any supply chain issues.
