We are currently seeking an experienced Sawyer to join our Boise branch weekend shift team.

Position Summary
The Weekend Shift Sawyer is responsible for cutting, shaping, and preparing natural stone and engineered quartz materials according to specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up work area and position stone slabs for cutting
- Measure, mark, and cut stone to specifications
- Grind, sand, clean, and polish materials as needed
- Shape and finish surfaces according to templates and blueprints
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow all safety procedures on the production floor
- Assist with general production tasks as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role (natural stone and engineered quartz preferred)
- Experience with Northwood equipment is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong math skills including fractions and measurements
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools (table saw, chop saw, etc.)
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) with at least 1 year of experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background check
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in wet conditions (hands/feet)
- Ability to safely lift 35–50 lbs
- Ability to use hand tools and perform repetitive wrist/fine motor movements
