Position Summary
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Inside Sales team. Major duties include communicating monthly program performance, improvements and developments to senior management; maximizing Inside Sales and Reps performance through motivation, training and coaching; monitoring and reporting on sales metrics; developing and maintaining best practices to maximize efficiency of team and managing the entire sales administration process.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversees the daily activities of a team of Inside Sales Representatives.
- Train and coach staff in selling and relationship-building skills needed to grow and maintain sales pipelines based on evaluations and skill assessments.
- Ensure team achieves quarterly sales revenue targets by monitoring attainment versus forecast and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Ensure accuracy of weekly activity reports, audits commission reports.
- Set, track, and report achievement of sales goals to upper Management.
- Ensure team complies with sales, finance, and legal policies and procedures.
- Research and implement methods to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with marketing and field sales to gather insights and understand customers' unique needs, market conditions, and competitors and use this information to refine sales strategy and achieve sales targets.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Service, and Logistics departments to ensure effective sales operations for increased profitability and operational performance.
- May be required to travel for purposes of attending training sessions, and/or area regional or national meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing; or relevant combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales experience in B2B environments.
- 3+ years of experience in Leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience selling office technology.
- 3+ years of experience in Inside Sales experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Sales experience in B2B environments.
- 5+ years of experience in Leadership experience.
