Position Summary

 As a Project & Process Manager (Sr. IT Project Manager), you must be able to manage large multi-faceted projects, including business process optimization projects, business applications, infrastructure, and multiple projects simultaneously.

The salary range for this role is $115k- $135k

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility and Accountability for the Project: Responsible for using best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholders/customers’ needs and deliver within budget on desired outcomes. Fully accountable for the project result is the driver that holds the project together. Defines Project Roles and Responsibilities: Collaborating closely with the Customer, Sales Team, Finance, and other parts of the business. The PM is responsible for determining the project scope and objectives to ensure project members understand what is expected of them and what they should expect from one another.  
  • Performs Project Tracking: Prepares, maintains, and submits clear & concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports. Tracks a project to discover potential problems before they occur. The PM applies this initiative-taking approach in routinely tracking the project members’ progress against their project commitments.
  • Makes Things Happen: Have the knowledge, skills, and experience to recognize when problems surface or potential problems loom. PM can articulate problems, bring the right people together to solve problems, and know when the problem has been solved—all this with the proper sense of urgency that the problem requires.
  • Promotes Good Working Relationships: The PM is a role model for promoting good working relationships across a project. PMs cultivate the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all a project's stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will use the project's results, those who command the resources needed, and the project team members.
  • Enforces Effective Change Control: The PM ensures that scope creep, communications, and quality are carefully managed.
  • Conducts stakeholder sessions and maps business processes’ current state, performs gap analysis, and documents future state processes
  • Manages Project Priorities: The project manager understands that the most important problems must be solved quickly; therefore, each day, the project manager’s time is dedicated to addressing the project’s top priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of project and process improvement management experience – preferably from a client-facing or IT environment
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, VISIO, or similar applications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PPM and project scheduling tools, i.e., Eclipse, MS Project, Smartsheet
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
