Do you love finding creative solutions? Are you a dynamic salesperson with experience in the Insurance industry? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Our insurance team is looking for an experienced Sales Agent with a strong referral network to help our members with their insurance needs.  In this role, you will market yourself to build your book business within our agency and work with the Credit Union staff to follow up on leads for new insurance requests and renewals for current members.

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

Job duties

  • Respond to phone calls, emails, member referrals from credit union staff in a timely manner; answer member questions regarding insurance coverage and offer solutions with the members' best interest in mind
  • Identifying clients: Finding potential clients through leads and referrals, and networking with them 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the insurance department and the credit union
  • Prepare proposals for prospects and make follow-up calls to members; maintain up to date electronic files on all current and prospective members in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain list of policy expiration dates to contact and provide proposals in the future
  • Maintain up-to-date electronic customer files in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance industry trends, products/services, procedures and policies

Essential skills

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree is preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years’ sales and customer service experience in an independent agency settings, demonstrating a successful sales record
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance policies and carriers
  • Skilled in organizing, analyzing and interpreting data to reach sound decisions and guide clients based on individual risk tolerances
  • Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders 
  • Partnered with other professionals for networking opportunities such as Financial planners, mortgage brokers, and real estate agents  
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations regarding personal lines insurance products
  • Familiarity with an agency management system (suchEZLynx)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Comparative Rater
  • Certification/License: Must have AZ Property & Casualty license, Life Insurance license.  Others states a plus

Location:  Remote - Arizona (Must reside in the state of Arizona, preferably in the Phoenix metro area)

Target Compensation in Arizona: $34,800 annually + incentive (Up to $100K+)
