Senior Analyst, Treasury (Capital Markets)
Description
The Senior Analyst, Capital Markets works independently to perform research, data extraction and analysis, building data and analytical tools in the areas of liquidity, investments, balance sheet strategy and investments. Provide support to ALM modeling and interest rate risk management.

Job Duties
- Contributes to the analysis and management of First Tech’s liquidity, investment and interest rate risk positions
- Analyze and interpret data to manage cash flows , forecast liquidity trends and assess borrowing needs
- Produce / validate daily, monthly and quarterly liquidity production and stress scenarios
- Work with capital markets team on capital allocation
- Evaluate and enhance policies, procedures and processes to manage exposure and mitigate risks
- Support investment portfolio manager. Assemble trade documents, produce investment decks for ALCO and Investment Committee and monitor the credit risk in the portfolio
- Provide support for inquiries related to investments, cash, borrowing transactions and interest rate risk.
- Support the maintenance of First Tech’s ALM model (ZM Desk) for interest rate risk management and net interest income simulations
- Aggregate data from multiple source systems to research and analyze root causes of identified risk trends
- Analyze the interest rate risk position utilizing results from the ALM analysis
- Assess the accuracy of various assumptions in the ALM model such as prepayment speeds, deposit betas, decay rates etc.
- Proactively identify gaps, validate data, recognize errors, and make modifications to programs to meet changing needs, and recommend changes for approval and implementation
- Prepare, deliver and/or present methodology and modeling results for senior leadership, committees, and other business units, effectively communicating analytical insights and logical thinking
- Develop and present scenarios that align with the current and projected Business Plan
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an analyst role, preferably in the financial services industry
- Experience applying and developing analytical methods, and working with financial models
- Experinece analyzing cash flows for banking institutions
- Experience using ALM software: ZM Desk preferred
- Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically to all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of analytical/quantitative tools such as Python or R is a bonus but not required
- Advanced SQL skills and understanding of relational databases preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistical, Quantitative or related field is preferred
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $90k - $105k annually + annual bonus
