Manager, Secondary Markets (Operations)
Description
This Manager is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day secondary market activities and leading a team that supports the sale, delivery, and management of mortgage loans. This role ensures execution aligns with investor requirements, market conditions, and organizational goals while maintaining strong investor relationships and reliable operational performance.

Job Duties:
- Oversee secondary market operational activities related to loan sales, commitments, investor delivery, and portfolio management.
- Lead, develop, and support a team responsible for executing secondary market processes and meeting performance expectations.
- Coordinate with investors, internal partners, and service providers to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant loan delivery.
- Monitor pipeline and portfolio activity, addressing operational issues and balancing timelines, quality, and risk considerations.
- Ensure policies, procedures, and controls supporting secondary market operations are followed and maintained.
- Track market conditions, investor program changes, and industry developments to support informed operational decisions.
- Resolve escalated operational issues and support root‑cause analysis to reduce errors, delays, or financial exposure.
- Support achievement of organizational objectives by aligning team priorities with business goals and volume demands.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and investor satisfaction.
- Provide reporting, insights, and updates on operational performance, risks, and trends to leadership.
Essential Skills:
- Required Experience: 5+ years in secondary mortgage market operations, capital markets, or a related financial operations environment.
- Experience leading a diverse team including hiring, coaching and performance management
- Working knowledge of loan sales, investor delivery processes, and secondary market operational controls.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external investors.
- Strong communication skills and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office | Hillsboro OR 97124 OR Marlborough Corporate Office | Marlborough, MA
Target Compensation: $116,500–$140,000 base pay + Annual Bonus
