The Community Engagement Program Manager II works collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop strategy, implement, and manage community engagement campaigns and content, including First Tech’s Scholarship program, National Volunteer Month, Credit Unions for Kids, Northwest Classic, and Season of Giving.  This position ensures that employee volunteerism programs achieve established goals aligned with the Credit Union strategy and changing needs.
 
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:      

Job Duties:   

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of successful employee engagement initiatives that provide opportunities for First Tech employees to volunteer in the community with nonprofit partners
  • Partner with the Community team to identify opportunities for and deliver on storytelling with partners, to maximize visibility of community impact, and volunteering  
  • Lead and collaborate with the Community First Champions group to maximize employee engagement participation across the Credit Union
  • Take ownership of our Community Engagement Benefits at First Tech; ensuring employee awareness and participation
  • Build strong relationships with non-profit partners and ensure success of employee engagement volunteer opportunities with these organizations
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on the strategy and execution of First Tech’s signature Northwest Classic fundraising event, retaining our position as a leading funder of Credit Unions 4Kids
  • Create compelling reports and other internal collateral to tell the Community story internally to Board members, Executive team, Credit Union members, and employees, leveraging data, case studies, and stories as needed
  • Oversee program performance leveraging metrics and impact for program evaluation, including employee engagement participation and giving reports for Board members, Executive team, and employees
  • Support Community event planning, logistics, and implementation, including partnership collateral management and fulfillment 
  • Represent First Tech in the community, including community events, public speaking, and external partnership meetings
  • Support First Tech’s Inclusion and Belonging work focused on employee engagement to continue driving our inclusive culture and raising awareness and action around inclusion and diversity  
  • Liaise with internal business partners, including Community counterparts, Communications, Marketing, Membership, and other departments to ensure alignment and amplification of First Tech’s Community programing
  • Represent Community on various internal committees and task forces focused on community engagement programming, including Annual Report committee
Essential Skills:     
  • Minimum 3 years’ business, public sector or nonprofit experience involving both independent and collaborative management of internal and external partnerships including volunteer engagement, sponsorships, andcommunity relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with business and community leaders to understand program development and impact, expectations and ROI measurements, identify and leverage opportunities as they arise; strong partnership and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and execute a high volume of stakeholder events with attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of community engagement best practices, with a focus on implementation and execution, and driving community-focused culture
  • Knowledge of community needs, and the local and regional philanthropic landscape
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and grant-making software
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, Communications or Marketing is preferred
Location:  Hillsboro Corporate Office (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $80,000 to $88,000 annually plus annual bonus
