Senior Business Continuity Specialist

The Senior Business Continuity Specialist leads in the overall coordination for planning, priority setting, and implementation of business continuity initiatives.

Job Duties:
- Respond to calls/notices from the FT Event line for adverse events on a 24/7 basis
- Serve as deputy facilitator of the Crisis Management Team during an adverse event
- Track, monitor and report business continuity events
- Conduct threat & hazard risk assessments of our physical sites and resilience risk assessments of our key and critical vendors
- Train and partner with business units to complete Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), develop Business Continuity Plans, and faciliatate appropriate tests/exercises
- Gather Business Continuity Program data and generate monthly reports
- Acts as a subject matter expert, advising and guiding business units in developing and implementing best practices for developing their business continuity artifacts
- Track and manage open findings from reviews, audits, incidents and exercises to completion
- Mentor other Business Continuity Specialists on a day to day basis
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in implementing and maintaining a business continuity program; preferably within a highly regulated industry (i.e. financial services, healthcare etc.)
- Experience with IT Operations and Infrastructure concepts, methodologies, and best practices as well as IT Disaster Recovery strategies and best practices, is preferred
- Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
- Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
- Ability to create and deliver engaging presentations tailored to diverse audiences
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to resolve complex issues with minimal direction
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with continuity planning tools (Fusion, ServiceNow, BC In the Cloud, etc.) preferred
- Experience working with emergency notification tools (AlertMedia, Everbridge, Rave, etc.) preferred
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
- Certification/License: Preferred certification such as, Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP), Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), or Professional Continuity Practitioner (PCP)
Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation: $83,000 to $99,000 annually + annual bonus
