International Tax Analyst
FirstCash is seeking an experienced International Tax Analyst to support the Company's global tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions. This role will focus on U.S. international income tax compliance, foreign tax reporting, tax research, transfer pricing support, and tax provision activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical tax knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review U.S. international tax information returns, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, and 8992, related to foreign entities included in the Company's U.S. consolidated tax return.
- Manage quarterly calculations of international tax inclusions, including Subpart F, GILTI, and FDII.
- Maintain and track the U.S. tax basis of foreign subsidiaries.
- Assist with the review of foreign income tax returns and collaborate with international compliance teams and external tax advisors.
- Ensure tax positions are properly documented and supported in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to maintain transfer pricing documentation, including Master Files, Local Files, and related transfer pricing studies.
- Gather, organize, and maintain documentation supporting domestic and international tax audits.
- Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. GAAP income tax provisions for domestic and international operations.
- Support federal and state income tax compliance activities as needed.
- Conduct technical tax research and evaluate the impact of changes in U.S. and international tax laws.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax compliance processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the Company's global operations.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in multinational corporate tax or public accounting with a focus on international taxation.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in tax and accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Experience with OneSource or similar corporate tax software.
- Knowledge of ASC 740 tax accounting and income tax provision processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools such as Claude or similar technologies.
- Spanish language proficiency.
