Description

The IT Asset Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the full lifecycle management of FirstBank’s IT assets, including hardware, software, and licensing. This role ensures operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization, while proactively partnering with stakeholders to drive service assurance, forecasting, reporting, and continual improvement initiatives. The IT Asset Manager is expected to be a forward-thinking partner, providing analytical leadership and actionable insights that support departmental and enterprise goals.


Key Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day IT asset operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across inventory, procurement, deployment, and disposal processes.
• Serve as a proactive partner to business and technology stakeholders, identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and enhanced service delivery.
• Develop and maintain robust asset tracking systems and standardized workstation imaging to support operational consistency and scalability.
• Provide analytical leadership in forecasting future asset, staffing, and budgetary needs, leveraging historical data and industry trends.
• Design and deliver executive, KPI, and KRI reporting, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights for operational and financial decision-making.
• Establish and maintain systems for tracking FTE utilization, asset capacity, and license/subscription usage.
• Regularly report on cost-saving initiatives, asset utilization, and capacity thresholds by application, department, and business unit.
• Foster a culture of service excellence, measured by customer feedback, associate surveys, and direct stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure timely and high-quality completion of assigned tasks, contributing to service assurance, project management, and program delivery.
• Mentor and develop direct reports, promoting ongoing professional growth and training in IT asset management best practices, ITIL, and relevant technologies (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
• Engage in continual learning and certification, staying current with industry standards and emerging trends.
• Maintain auditable controls and documentation for all asset management activities, supporting regulatory compliance (SOX, licensing, contract management).
• Lead efforts in operational and regulatory control adherence, including audit, examination, and security guidance.

Experience
• Experience with Microsoft Autopilot for device provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and compliance enforcement.
• Foundational knowledge of desktop computing, including operating systems, hardware components, and software compatibility considerations.
• Ability to manage provisioning processes, lead troubleshooting related to compatibility issues, and ensure smooth deployment of hardware and software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, forecasting, and development of operational reporting.


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years progressive experience in IT asset management, procurement, and vendor management; banking/finance industry experience preferred.
• ITIL Foundation and IT Asset Management certification desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in asset tracking, reporting, cost management, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
