Summary:
The Operations Financial Analyst will be responsible for interpreting results and making recommendations to Operations management to optimize financial performance. The position will also be responsible for the following: supporting strategic financial initiatives by providing insight and analyses; preparing and interpreting financial/capacity models, identifying expense reduction opportunities through review of reports, ad-hoc analysis, and management reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating capacity models and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
  • Conducting in-depth financial analysis of the bank's operational performance
  • Preparing reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring key financial metrics and providing recommendations for strategic financial decisions.
  • Collaborating with other departments to support budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in banking and finance.
  • Assisting with reporting for compliance requirements.
  • Participating in special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies across Operations

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software applications.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues and proposing solutions.
