Summary:  
Responsible for a variety of Loan Servicing functions in connection with consumer loans including invoice reconciliation, process enhancement, report development, vendor oversight, procedure improvement, and escalation resolution. You will also assist with compliance related reviews, complaint research, communication, and action planning. Advanced support for a range of operational functions within the mortgage servicing department. Those functions range from MERS, servicing notice of transfer, payments, escrows, and other assigned duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 
  • Invoice Reconciliation: Review and reconcile mortgage servicing invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Address discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Report Development: Learn, design and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights into key metrics, trends, and performance indicators to support decision-making.
  • Procedure Oversight: Ensure procedures align with current practices, internal policies and industry regulations by monitoring and updating as necessary.
  • Escalation Assistance: Act as advanced tier of support for escalated issues, providing troubleshooting assistance and resolution support for complex servicing inquiries.
  • Process Improvement: Identify, create requirements and recommend automation solutions to streamline manual processes, improving efficiency and reducing operational risk within the mortgage servicing operations.
  • Completion of daily reporting pertaining to payments, escrows, principal reductions and servicing transfers.
  • Monitor daily automation of boarding files, clearing any rejected loans prior to the next run of boarding.
  • Reconciliation of loans boarded previous day to documents delivered to sub servicer.
  • Take ownership of issues and preforms detail analytical review and research to resolve problems to avoid penalties and provide stellar customer service.
  • Establish, foster and maintain strong and positive working relationships with team members, loan officers, operations staff and other business partners.  
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management, contributing to the continuous improvement of the mortgage servicing operations.

  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing regulations and industry best practices
  • Familiarity with process optimization techniques
  • Strong proficiency in understanding data sets and effective summarization techniques 
 
Education and/or Experience
  • College degree – preferred
  • Servicing experience- 2-5 years
  • Mortgage experience –Minimum of 5 years 
  • Analyst experience – Minimum 2-5 years
