Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Investor Relations will be responsible for building and executing an effective investor communications strategy, performing financial analyses and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key advisor to the executive leadership team to build an effective investor communications strategy that highlights FirstBank’s business strategy
  • Partner with Finance and other departments to prepare key external disclosures, including the quarterly earnings release, quarterly investor presentation and the earnings call script, the annual report and proxy statement, conference and investor presentations and ESG reporting
  • Attend Investor meetings and communicate the company story
  • Prepare reports, presentations, SEC filings and communications for a variety of audiences including senior management
  • Proactively develop relationships with research analysts and investors to communicate company strategy
  • Develop interest in the company stock through analysis of potential investors that do not currently have a position in the stock
  • Monitor industry reports and peer performance in order to understand current market concerns and anticipate investor questions and concerns
  • Analyze and communicate major movements in the company stock
  • Develop executive summaries for senior leadership and the Board of Directors on peer company news and performance and industry developments
  • Partner with Finance, Communications and other stakeholders to ensure that all company communications build a consistent narrative around the company strategy
  • Manage NYSE relationship
  • Ability to understand and evaluate corporate finance analyses, including merger models and debt and equity raises, in order to develop investor communications for key events
  • Communicate directly with investors and analysts on press releases, news events and business developments between earnings release

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Communications; Master’s degree preferred
  • CFA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience and solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting, as well as experience with bank financials, regulatory capital and valuation
  • Demonstrated experience in sell-side research, buy-side institutional investing, investment banking or corporate finance required

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
