Position Summary:

The Lending Systems Program Manager is responsible for the oversight and technology management of FirstBank’s Commercial and Consumer Lending applications, along with all ancillary application services including image access.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Management

  • Responsible for acting as a primary vendor contact and maintaining a healthy relationship with applicable vendors
  • Ensure vendor actions adhere to contract terms and conditions
  • Assist with planning and project development while maintaining a deep understanding of strategic project initiatives, resource requirements and priorities
  • Subject Matter Expert and liaison for multiple departments across FirstBank
  • Maintain product roadmap including the vendor digital roadmap as well as FirstBank work-efforts and projects
  • Work with FirstBank Training to assist in the development of employee product training resources
  • Manage process and procedure development with ongoing review and updates
  • Work with Contact Center, Loan Operations, and other applicable groups as the senior point of escalation
  • Identify and research emerging trends and business opportunities

Change Control Management

  • Identify and lead due diligence and operational assessments while maintaining a detailed understanding of the impact to both customers and associates
  • Review and evaluate product release notes and prepare communications and parameter updates to affected parties, including the Change Advisory Board.
  • Coordinate product testing in advance of new releases and service offerings
  • Manage and guide implementation of changes for related programs
  • Attend monthly/quarterly vendor digital meetings

General Management Functions

  • Develop, track, and report metrics to ensure the efficient operation of all delivery systems
  • Provide recommendations to Executive Management concerning the direction of product offerings
  • Work with Audit and Compliance to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements
  • Work with FirstBank Information Security and Risk Management groups to mitigate exposure to loss for FirstBank and its customers
  • Collaborate with other cross functional departments as needed
  • Monitor operations to ensure applications perform as expected and work with vendor to provide resolution when issues arise
  • Manage product related expenses to budget

Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication and documentation skills
  • Possesses advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of ancillary applications including but not limited to core banking systems, remote deposit, statement imaging, electronic payments, and card management. Experience with Jack Henry applications is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals across multiple lines of business, each of which may have varying degrees of product knowledge and technical expertise

 Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in similar field or experience in similar banking environment in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of experience in banking, particularly in lending environments
  • Previous customer support experience with either internal or external customers
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and vendor management
  • Experience in, or a strong understanding of banking operations
  • Knowledge of applicable legal and compliance requirements
