Construction Administration Specialist

This position can be located in our Franklin, TN office our our Downtown Birmingham, AL office. 
Summary: 
Provides loan credit administration support as needed to multiple lending functions in accordance with established systems and procedures.   Required to gain a knowledge of all loan operations platform systems as well as core and the interdependencies associated with each procedurally.  Perform necessary research for completion of projects.  Assist with problem resolution as needed.  Assists operations officer/Director of Credit Administration.  
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Inputs construction loans into construction management system in accordance with credit approval and budget
  • Manages construction draw process based on percentage of completion
  • Interfaces with RMs, RMAs, and customers to properly service construction loans
  • Post payments, draws and principal reductions
  • Loan account research
  • General loan questions/research
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s core system & Built Construction management system
  • Assist in project initiatives by performing necessary research
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Education and/or Experience 
  • High School diploma or equivalent.  College degree or coursework in finance or related studies is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in banking or similar field
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and other similar applications.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of loan documentation and document retention.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.  Good organizational skills.
