Banking First Line Compliance Analyst

This position is NOT remote or hybrid eligible. This position will work in the Nashville, Knoxville, TN or Birmingham, AL FirstBank office.
Summary:
The First Line Compliance Analyst support’s the bank’s First Line of Defense for compliance. Analyst support the First Line Compliance Manager and will partner with all segments of the bank to help with the development, implementation and execution of the institution’s first line controls and monitors within the various areas of the bank.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of the Banking First Line Compliance program.
- Provide support to Specialists to ensure the business units are complying with all state and federal regulations.
- Perform sampling or other quality control testing to demonstrate successful implementation of processes and controls, monitoring of compliance areas, and other initiatives.
- Manage, track and report the compliance responses to business unit inquiries as applicable.
- Continuously participate in the improvement of operational compliance tools, as well as active involvement in other projects as required.
- Stay up to date on regulatory updates/ changes and pro-actively ensure actions are taken to educate FirstBank associates on the changes and validate that policy and procedures are modified accordingly.

Education and/or Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in the Banking Industry, with 1 or more years’ experience in a compliance/risk/audit role.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations
- Proven experience successfully working in a confidential environment
