Position Requirements: 
  • PhD, MD, PharmD, or advanced nursing degree 
  
Experience: 
  • Professional content development experience at a medical communications agency, specifically in medical affairs/medical information 
  • Experience developing materials such as HCP-facing decks, advisory board content, and therapeutic area summaries 
  • Experience in presenting slide decks and moderating advisory boards, workshops, and other training events to clients and extended client teams 
  • Position Responsibilities 
  • Mentor medical writers, including training on medical writing, client-facing and internal etiquette, and best practices 
  • Collaborate between leadership and internal teams to develop and execute strategic plans 
  • Contribute as a scientific and medical expert to activities and deliverables, including content review calls, project kick off meetings, and strategy workshops 
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to collaborate with our clients based on their strategic imperatives, the needs of patients, and changes in the marketplace/therapeutic landscape 
  • Assist with day-to-day project needs and medical writing tasks, as needed, meet important deadlines and client expectations 
  • Review materials to ensure all client and internal comments have been incorporated, and that we are best representing our client’s strategic imperatives and challenging ourselves to provide high-quality, strategically sound deliverables to our clients 
  • Work in partnership with accounts, editorial, and creative to ensure our pieces are buttoned up and designed to display key data most appropriately and aesthetically 
  • Attend scientific/client meetings together with senior account and/or science team member and liaise with clients on the science and ongoing projects 
  • Proactively suggest new and innovative ways to present data 
  • Show an openness to learning more about the medical communications industry. Have a full command of, and adherence to, internal processes on all projects and ensure staff understand and follow process 
  • Independent scientific content development including analysis and interpretation of clinical data across a wide range of project types 
  • Conduct literature searches, proactively monitor competitive landscape and perform competitive analyses across key therapeutic areas 
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and proactively seek to contribute and collaborate in client meetings 
  • Support submissions for client medical/regulatory approval processes and partners with all teams to incorporate client and regulatory feedback

  • Expertise with creating content in PowerPoint and use of other Microsoft programs 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to understand and consistently apply marketing strategies when developing content for promotional medical education 
  • Ability to handle multiple timelines 
  • Ability to present clearly and consistently in virtual meetings, with a dedicated space to work virtually without interruptions 
  • Ability to provide scientific, strategic, and tactical direction to writers, account team, creative team and clients
