Scientific Medical Communications Intern
Description
- Duration: 10 weeks, 30 hours per week
- Schedule: June 9th - August 15th
- Location: Primarily remote, with occasional travel required to our Cedar Knolls, NJ office for purposeful engagement. Candidates should be within driving distance of the Cedar Knolls, New Jersey Office
- Conduct deep-dive "back-end" research into emerging therapeutic areas and novel drug mechanisms to educate internal teams and inform strategic pivots.
- Actively contribute to live client projects and deliverables within the Allergy, Immunology, and Rare Disease sectors.
- Attend and observe client calls and internal strategic sessions to gain a first-hand understanding of agency-client dynamics and project life cycles.
- Collaborate with the Medical Writing team to draft high-quality scientific content tailored for both Medical Affairs (HCP-focused) and patient/nurse-centric initiatives.
- Work closely with Account, Art, and Editorial teams to ensure scientific accuracy is maintained across all visual and written media.
- Explore and utilize AI tools to streamline research workflows and enhance content development, helping the team stay at the forefront of health-tech innovation.
- Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a PhD, PharmD, or Advanced Nursing degree program (NP, DNP).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex clinical data into clear narratives.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, specifically the ability to structure data visually for professional presentations.
- A proactive openness to using AI tools and a curiosity about how they can optimize medical communications.
- A demonstrated interest in communicating science and a desire to improve outcomes.
- Strong collaborative spirit and the ability to pivot between independent research and team-based creative sessions.
